Dining out should be an enjoyable experience, but it can quickly turn into a nightmare if you’re not careful. Finding the best places to eat in Beloit has never been easier, because you can find almost any type of cuisine your taste buds are craving. From tasty breakfasts to mouth-watering lunches to scrumptious dinners and everything in between, Beloit has something special to offer every night of the week. Here are my top three favorite dive hangouts for food lovers in Beloit!

History of Beloit

Originally named New Holstein, Beloit was incorporated in 1837 and has a history that stretches all the way back to 1836, when August C. Kahl established a trading post on the Rock River. The city of Beloit has seen many changes over the years and is now home to over 20,000 residents. It is also noteworthy as one of three cities in Wisconsin that’s home to an institution of higher education – Beloit College.

Lucy’s #7 Burger Bar

Lucy’s #7 Burger Bar, centrally located in Beloit, WI, has been a favorite of locals and tourists alike for years. At Lucy’s #7, we stuff our Juicy Lucy burgers & pour beers from Wisconsin breweries. We offer a full bar with live music at weekends. Check out their website to learn more about the extensive menu!

truk’t | street tacos, tequila & whiskey

In the mood for Mexican? Head to one of the most popular taco spots in town, Truk’t. This family-owned restaurant offers a wide variety of tacos and traditional Mexican dishes like burritos, quesadillas, and nachos. They also have a fully stocked bar with tequila and whiskey to enjoy while you’re eating your tacos! From shrimp tacos to beef brisket tacos, this place has something for everyone. Be sure not to forget about their horchata ice cream floats – they are a must try! Check out their website to learn more about the extensive menu!

Hatley’s Pub

Hatley’s Pub has been a staple in Beloit for a while. They offer a full bar and restaurant with quick, efficient service. Plus, their food is delicious! One of my favorite items on the menu is the PUB burger; it comes with cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles. It also has french fries on the side. Hatley’s Pub is a wonderful place to go if you want tasty food that’s close to home and easy to get to! 2: The Cheese Shed (six sentences) The Cheese Shed is one of my favorite places to go because they have great sandwiches and salads made fresh in the house every day. I love coming here because it feels like a home away from home.

The city of Beloit is larger than one may think, with a lot to offer. Downtown has a lot to offer than you think. And the history. There are so many hidden gems in the downtown area that will make you want to take a stroll down memory lane. Here are just some of the top three dive hangouts to find delicious food around town!
